WEDNESDAY, 5-7pm: TURF DINNER
Come find us at Turf Dinner! We’ll have a table next to the Claremont Colleges Screenwriting Guild. We’re going to set up a green screen so people can take photos with fun backgrounds. Stop by! Or at least check out the pictures on Facebook afterwards!
THURSDAY, 9pm: SCREENWRITING 101
Just like last year, the first screenwriting meeting of the year will also be a Screenwriting 101 workshop down in Studio 47. Learn the basics of screenwriting and get to know the screenwriting guild!
FRIDAY, 7pm: STUDIO 47 + CCTV OPEN HOUSE
Come back down to Studio 47 to mingle with the whole crew! Learn about all the events happening this semester, hear about the process for starting new CCTV shows (!), find collaborators for your new project, or just chill out with us. Snacks and drinks will be provided.
SATURDAY, 2pm: ACTING + DIRECTING WORKSHOPS
We’re holding our first workshops of the year! From 2-3pm, we’ll go over the basics of acting for the camera. From 3-4pm, we’ll talk about directing actors for film projects. It’s going to be really fun; come down!
909 FILM FESTIVAL!
Eddie Gonzalez from the Pitzer Media Center is one of the organizers of the 909 film festival. If you have a movie under 9 minutes, 9 seconds in length that was shot in the 909 (Claremont), he wants you to submit it! The event is in mid-October, but you should submit your work ASAP.
